Site Rules and Guidelines

We understand that no one really enjoys reading these things, so we have tried to keep them as short and to the point as we possibly can. Please do read them, it only takes 5 minutes.

The Rules

These must be adhered to at all times within this site.

* Please take care when discussing potentially triggering subjects (including but not limited to: suicide, self injury, abuse, sex, eating disorders, drugs and alcohol.)
In the forums please restrict these topics to The Dark Room, (If you find a topic outside of this forums that is triggering to you, please alert one of our modertors or admins)
In the chatroom please check that other chatters in the room are ok with talking about these subjects first. (If you find a topic being discussed in the chat room to be triggering to you, do not hesitate to alert other chatters that the subject is triggering to you.)

* There shall be no harassment or abuse of other members.

* Confronting anothers religious or political views will not be tolerated.

* Foul or potentially offensive language should be kept to a minimum and only used within the Rant Room or Dark Room in the forums

*Chatters may use only one nickname for the chatrooms and forums, and may not log in under multiple nicknames. Nicknames will be treated with respect, both towards others and yourself.

* Supplying false or misleading information when registering for an account on this site will result in your account being terminated. We will treat any information you supply as confidential. A valid name and email address are required in order to register.

* Copyright permission is required before republishing any information in this community.

* No posting of any material of a knowingly inflammatory, false, or defamatory nature.

* This site is not for commercial use.

* Attempting to circumvent any of the security on this site will result in an immediate and permanent ban.

* Openly arguing or using excessive foul language with another person will not be allowed. All members, Moderators, and Administration will be treated with respect at all times. Do not openly debate another person or the rules.

These rules are subject to revision and are by no means exhaustive: any user found to be acting in a way that may cause harm of any kind to this site or its users, mods, or administrators, may be suspended or banned at our discretion. If you feel that you are being dealt with in an unfair manner, speak to a Moderator or Administrator. If this isn’t possible, please email us at admin@hopeaz.com and it will be addressed in a timely manner.

Safety Guidelines

These are tips for maximising your safety and ensuring you have a more enjoyable time here at hope

Your privacy is very important to us. To protect yourself and our community, please be cautious in sharing too much personal information. Giving out information such as phone numbers and addresses is highly discouraged. If you choose to give out personal information about yourself, please do so privately.

And remember, all information, once given out on the internet, is very hard to delete completely. Be careful what you share, both in conversing within the site and with what information is in your profile.

Hopes policy on banning

This is a general guideline on disciplinary measures of members who break the rules at Hope. In cases of severe infringement of our rules these guidelines may not be followed.

1st - Verbal warning.
2nd - A warning letter will be sent.
3rd - You will receive a 30 day suspension.
4th - Permanent ban of HopeAZ.

All transcripts and user information becomes the property of HopeAZ. We will do our best to protect your privacy, we most certainly will NOT be giving away any member information including email addresses to third parties for the use of mailing lists etc. However we may use this information in any way we see fit in order to protect the community that we administer or other people.

Use what talent you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sang best
Don't let life discourage you;
everyone who got where they are
had to begin where they were
Without a struggle, there ccan be no progress
Learn to embrace challenges because they are a gift in life and not a difficulty to be avoided
To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe
Don't be afraid to take a big step.
You can't cross a chasm in two small jumps
When you learn to believe in yourself, your world will open up to you and you will find your path
Only those that dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly
Our greatest glory is not in never falling,
but in rising every time we fall
Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go
It's always too early to quit
Someone who aims at nothing is sure to hit it
There are no shortcuts to any place worth going
Even if you are on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there
There are many ways of going forward, but only one way of standing still
People take different roads seeking fulfilment and happiness.
Just because you're not on their road doesn't mean you've gotten lost
It is good to have an end to journey towards, but it's the journey that matters in the end
Dance like no one's watching
Sing like no one's listening
Love like you've never been hurt
And live like it's heaven on earth
Aim for the stars; even if you only reach the moon, that's still a pretty good achievment
Be nice to yourself, in this world there are enough people that will tear you down, you don't need to do it too
