We understand that no one really enjoys reading these things, so we have tried to keep them as short and to the point as we possibly can. Please do read them, it only takes 5 minutes.

The Rules

These must be adhered to at all times within this site.

HopeAZ requires all chatters to be 18 years of age or older.
Chatters WILL NOT discuss potentially triggering subjects in the Lobby. These subjects include, but aren't limited to: Suicide, Self Injury, Alcoholism, Eating Disorders, etc. These must be kept in PM or taken to another room.
In the Forum any triggering topics must be posted in the dark room or the rant room
No talk of a sexual nature or illicit drugs will be tolerated.
In order to protect our Hope family, ALL conversations, including those in PM, are recorded in the transcripts, which are read daily by Administrators and Mod and are kept confidential.
There shall be no harassment of other chatters.
Confronting anothers religious or political views will not be tolerated.
Openly arguing or using excessive foul language with another person will not be allowed. All chatters, Moderators, and Administration will be treated with respect at all times. Do not openly debate another person or the rules. If you feel that you are being dealt with in an unfair manner, speak to a Moderator or Administrator. If this isn’t possible, please email us at admin@hopeaz.com and it will be addressed in a timely manner.
Chatters may use only one nickname for the chatrooms and forums, and may not log in under multiple nicknames. Nicknames will be treated with respect, both towards others and yourself.
Copyright permission is required before republishing any information in this community.
No posting of any material of a knowingly inflammatory, false, or defamatory nature.
Not for commercial site usage.
Supplying false or misleading information when registering for an account on this site will result in your account being terminated. You may also be suspended or banned at our discretion. We will treat any information you supply as confidential. A valid name and email address are required in order to register.
Attempting to circumvent any of the security on this site, for example, trying to access the Admin. Room in chat or the Admin. Controls for the site, will result in an immediate and permanent ban.
All Transcripts and User Information becomes the property of HopeAZ. We will do our best to protect your privacy, which will involve, but not limited to, strict moderator guidelines. However, by using this site, you acknowledge that we may use this information, including transcripts, in any way we see fit in order to protect the community that we administer.
HopeAZ and its team will not be held responsible for any perceived damages caused to you or any third party because of the use of this site. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless both the site and its members, moderators and Administration.
These rules are subject to revision and are by no means exhaustive: any user found to be acting in a way that may cause harm of any kind to this site or its users, mods, or administrators, may be suspended or banned at our discretion.

Guidelines

These are tips for maximising your safety and ensuring you have a more enjoyable time here at hope

If you find a topic being discussed in the chat room to be triggering to you, please tell someone. If a moderator is present let him/her know that what is being discussed is triggering to you.
Triggering topics within the forum are generally limited to the Dark Room and Rant Room forums. If you find a topic outside of these forums that is triggering to you, please use the "report" button at the top of the topic, or send a PM to one of the Admins, Moderators or Tech Team members of our site.
Any advice given anywhere within this site, medical or otherwise, is given in the spirit of support and is not authorized as sound medical advice.
Your privacy is very important to us. To protect yourself and our community, please be cautious in sharing too much personal information. Giving out information such as phone numbers and addresses is highly discouraged. If you choose to give out personal information about yourself, please do so in PM.

Hopes policy on banning

This is a general guideline on disciplinary measures of members who break the rules at Hope. In cases of severe infringement of our rules these guidelines may not be followed.

1st - We will speak with you and give a reminder of the rules.
2nd - A verbal warning will be given.
3rd - A warning letter will be sent.
4rd - You will receive a 30 day suspension from chat and forum.
5th - You will receive a 90 day suspension from chat and forum.
6th - Permanent ban of HopeAZ.
